The Memòria.cat portal recently incorporated two unpublished plays that the writer from Manresa Joaquim Amat-Piniella wrote during the 1950s, providing full transcription and study access.

The two pieces, titled K.O. and Setmana de festes, are preserved in the author's collection at the Arxiu Comarcal del Bages, originating from the donation by Marcel Amat Llaveries. Both are typewritten, and Setmana de festes includes handwritten additions by Amat-Piniella himself. The portal reproduces photographs of the originals and offers complete transcriptions (Source).
Although the exact creation date is unknown, the correspondence between Amat-Piniella and Agustí Bartra from 1953 offers clues about the genesis of K.O., a comedy the author wrote in collaboration with a friend to try to earn income during a period of financial difficulty.

"I find it hard to make ends meet. I have tried to find some editorial work to fill the spare hours, but that doesn't come up either. In view of this, with an excellent friend of mine we have started a literary collaboration, the first result of which has been a comedy that we cannot premiere (momentarily this is the only obstacle) because there is no Catalan company"

K.O. sets the action in the world of boxing, used as a stage and metaphor for the struggle for social survival, where corruption and manipulation surface. Meanwhile, Setmana de festes is an acidic comedy that portrays the hypocrisy and underlying tensions that emerge during the festive week of a small mountain village.
The philologist Jordi Estrada, who analyzed the works on the website (Analysis), points out that Amat-Piniella drafted them partly to “modestly contribute to the cultural and theatrical recovery of the country and also to try to supplement his meager salary.” The writer is primarily known for K.L. Reich, a pivotal work of concentration camp literature.
