The 27-year-old man from Sallent, Fran Soriano, was found alive this Monday morning in Susqueda after being missing for a week in the Far sanctuary area.

The young man himself alerted authorities this morning to report he was safe. Mossos d'Esquadra officers located him near where his vehicle was parked. According to police sources, he had been wandering around the mountainous area since his disappearance on February 23rd.
The Medical Emergency System (SEM) transferred him to the Josep Trueta Hospital in Girona for a check-up. Although he appeared to be in good health, he showed signs of dehydration after seven days outdoors. A large-scale search involving Firefighters, drones, and canine units had been active in the area until last Thursday.
