The railway operator Renfe has yet to set a date for restoring full service on the R4 line in the Bages region, specifically between Manresa and Terrassa.

While the southern section is scheduled to reopen on March 16, the northern stretch remains under maintenance by Adif. Engineers are currently reinforcing walls and slopes near Castellbell i el Vilar to ensure the tracks are safe for commercial traffic following the fatal accident in Gelida on January 20.
Passengers are currently required to transfer at Terrassa to reach Barcelona, using shuttle trains or a dedicated bus service running every 30 minutes. Full normalization will only occur after successful test runs without passengers are completed.
