The R4 line of Rodalies de Renfe restored service between Manresa and Terrassa around 5:30 PM, after a pine tree falling onto the tracks in Viladecavalls interrupted the railway operation.

The incident occurred on the stretch crossing the municipality of Viladecavalls, located in the Vallès Occidental region, causing the railway infrastructure to be shut down for several hours, affecting commuters traveling to or from Manresa.
Due to the disruption, Protecció Civil activated the pre-alert phase of the Ferrocat emergency plan. Meanwhile, Adif mobilized the necessary personnel to carry out cleaning and repair tasks as quickly as possible.

The alternative bus service remained operational for users while the tasks of removing the tree were underway.

Circulation was fully restored around 5:30 PM, once the Firefighters (Bombers de la Generalitat) completed the removal of the pine tree that had fallen onto the catenary and the track, allowing the resumption of regular rail traffic.
