The town of Sallent celebrated its traditional Carnival parade this Saturday, February 14th, an event that filled the town center with music, handmade costumes, and plenty of irony.

The festivities began at Sant Pau Square with the launch of rockets and the arrival of the Carnival King. This year, the parade included 16 groups and 8 brass bands, performing popular music covers through the main streets.
Notable costumes included outfits inspired by the series Bridgerton, characters from the movie Aladdin, and a satirical group mocking the political class. Organizers highlighted the quality of handmade pieces, such as tree costumes with real branches.

"In Sallent we love the party; it is a celebration that unites the neighbors and includes everyone."
