The Rice Festival in Sant Fruitós de Bages celebrated a record-breaking edition this February, selling out 3,500 portions of rice in under an hour in the Bages region.

This Sunday's main event confirmed the growing popularity of a tradition officially declared of Tourist Interest. Organizers prepared 300 more servings than last year to meet the high demand at the Bosquet park area.
The program featured the 51st Quick Painting Contest and folk performances such as the play History of the Rice Festival. Local traditions like the Ball del Puro and the giants' parade were also central to the festivities.
The Town Council honored Ton Creus Tañà and Antònia Garcia Ballesta for their long-standing commitment to the festival. Additionally, fifteen local restaurants are participating in the Rice Week, showcasing creative local gastronomy.
