The Solsonès region has recorded a 12.8% increase in its foreign-born population over the last year, the highest growth rate in Central Catalonia, according to data released by Idescat this Wednesday.

In Central Catalonia, nearly 79.000 residents were born abroad. Approximately 30.1% of them have obtained Spanish nationality. While Moianès shows the highest proportion of naturalized citizens at 34.6%, Solsonès remains at 25% despite its rapid demographic growth.
Across Catalonia, one in four residents was born outside of Spain as of January 1, 2025. The most common countries of origin include Morocco, Colombia, and Italy, with the majority of the foreign population being of working age.
