The Vallcebre City Council has concluded a comprehensive 253,102 euro renovation of the local municipal cemetery, addressing long-standing structural issues and increasing the facility's capacity.

The project, largely funded by the Barcelona Provincial Council, followed a 2017 technical study that identified foundation problems. Works included reinforcing the northern structure, replacing roofs, and adding new burial spaces to meet the community's future needs.
Beyond physical repairs, the town is modernizing its services by digitizing cemetery records and implementing new usage regulations. Local officials stated the goal is to provide a more dignified and secure space for residents and their deceased loved ones.
