Based at the Vic Fire Station and handled by Andreu Morera from Moià, Xot has been instrumental in locating four missing people alive since 2019. His dedication was recently honored with the Gold Medal of Sant Jordi for canine merit, awarded by the AGCPLCAT association.

The Canine Search Group, established in 2008, relies on the deep bond between handlers and their dogs. As Xot prepares to transition to life as a family pet, his successor, Lia, is already fully trained to continue the vital work of tracking and scenting in emergency situations across Catalonia.
