Adbisio ETL Global CN Manresa delivered one of their best performances of the season, defeating Club Waterpolo Elx Selecte, the Second Division Group B leader, in a tense penalty shootout at the Manel Estiarte Duocastella Pools.

The players led by coach David Torilo were close to victory in regulation time, but a controversial referee decision at the Manel Estiarte Duocastella Pools led to a penalty and a visiting goal, tying the match at 16 with only 28 seconds remaining.
The Manresa team started strongly, with goals from Martí Puerta (a double) and Arnau Leon, beating goalkeeper Víctor Expósito. Nevertheless, CW Elx Selecte showed why they are the group leaders and overturned the score during the second period thanks to their physical superiority.
The home team's resilience reappeared just before halftime, regaining the lead and building an advantage of up to five goals in the third period. Tensions rose at the end, and after Elx made it 16-15, a possession violation called by referees Bach and Garcia allowed the visitors to force the penalty shootout (16-16).
In the decisive shootout, despite missing the initial shot, goalkeepers Oriol Albacete and Aaron Wilson became heroes by stopping the last two shots from Elx. This allowed Aleix Estany to convert the fifth and final penalty, securing the victory for Adbisio CN Manresa.
