Ateneu les Bases in Manresa to repair pavilion leaks this February

The work, budgeted at nearly 80,000 euros, had to be postponed in January due to heavy rains that forced the cancellation of federated volleyball matches.

The concessionary company of the Ateneu les Bases in Manresa will carry out the repair of the pavilion's roof leaks during February, a nearly 80,000 euro project delayed by continuous rain.

The repair work, budgeted at 79,659.89 euros (VAT included), will fix the roof damage that compromises the correct waterproofing of the sports facility in Manresa.
These issues forced the suspension of federated volleyball matches scheduled for the weekend of January 17 and 18, as the leaks affect the edges of the playing area, preventing official competition.

"The Department of Sports and Health has closely monitored this issue to ensure that the company fulfilled the commitments it acquired."

Anjo Valentí · Councillor for Sports and Health
The Councillor for Sports and Health, Anjo Valentí, explained that the work was initially scheduled for January, but continuous rainfall made it impossible to start. He added that if the weather permits, the repairs will be carried out during the coming weeks of February.
