Baxi Manresa coach Diego Ocampo stated this Friday that new center Pauly Paulicap must simplify his game, focusing primarily on defense and rebounding ahead of the match against Kosner Baskonia.

The Galician coach explained that, despite his excellent physical condition, adapting to the characteristic game style of Baxi Manresa requires a very specific focus. Ocampo confirmed that the club has hired a specialist to accelerate the integration of the center, who is already training with the team for his debut this Sunday at the Kosner Baskonia court.

"We are showing him as quickly as possible how we want to play. But he has to help us with defense and rebounding."

Ocampo insisted that Paulicap must concentrate on “two or three things, not telling him too many so he doesn't have excessive information.” He compared the new signing to Kao Akobundu-Ehiogu, highlighting that Paulicap is “stronger” and “very explosive,” while Kao jumps more. The key, according to the coach, will be how he complements the strengths of Guillem Oriola and Kao.
In a similar vein, Paulicap's former coach at Promitheas, Giorgos Limniatis, warned that the player “cannot assimilate overly complex actions.” Limniatis expressed surprise at the substitution of Paulicap for Golden, whom he considers a better player, although less suitable for the fast pace of the Baxi Manresa team.

"He can set good screens and is good at rebounding, but he cannot assimilate overly complex actions."

Finally, Limniatis recalled that at the beginning of the season, the center suffered several muscular injuries, although not serious, which made it difficult for him to maintain a constant rhythm at Promitheas.
