The Associació Cultural El Galliner commemorates three decades managing municipal performing arts in Manresa with a central event on Sunday, December 21 at the Teatre Kursaal.

The 30th anniversary celebration will take place at 6 PM in the main hall of the Kursaal and will include the performance of the one-man show El venedor de fum (The Smoke Seller), created and performed by Joan Font, founder of the renowned company Comediants. This function is particularly symbolic, as it was scheduled for the previous year but had to be postponed.
El Galliner was established in late 1995 and, since then, has been responsible for the municipal programming of theatre and dance in Manresa. Since 2007, coinciding with the inauguration of the Kursaal, it has also managed music programming. The entity recalls its public presentation on December 24, 1995, with the Acció Kursaal 2006, a theatrical visit to the then-closed venue.

Over the last three decades, El Galliner has played a prominent role in the sociocultural revitalization of Bages, organizing talks, exhibitions, and round tables.

The play El venedor de fum is a journey through memory and theatre, where Joan Font combines elements of Comediants' poetics, such as giants, masks, puppets, and Chinese shadows, to reflect on what it means to be a man of the theatre. The anniversary party is usually held at the Teatre Conservatori, but for this milestone anniversary, the celebration has been moved to the Kursaal.
Tickets for the show have a single price of 20 euros and can be purchased through the Kursaal website and at the box office. Members with the Carnet Galliner receive an invitation. The entity, which received the COFAE Award last October during the Fira Mediterrània de Manresa, remains a key cultural driver.
