The ERC municipal group in Sant Fruitós de Bages has strongly criticized the Gent fent Poble (GfP) governing team for ignoring their fiscal and pending project proposals, calling for a change in attitude.

The main opposition group in the Sant Fruitós de Bages Town Council, led by ERC, regrets that the Gent fent Poble (GfP) executive is not considering their initiatives regarding fiscal and budgetary matters. The Republicans criticize Mayor Joan Carles Batanés for responding with an "offensive and partisan tone" and "false or inaccurate statements" instead of addressing the core issues.
Among the rejected proposals, ERC highlights the implementation of a fairer and more environmental waste fee, increased IBI and ICIO bonuses for rehabilitation and energy efficiency, and the recovery of winter aid for utilities. They also proposed establishing a quarterly planning and monitoring framework for the municipal budget.

"Instead of saying whether he agrees, wants to study it, or rejects it with arguments, he chooses to insult, question our honesty, and even claim that we invent some projects, despite them being drafted by prestigious firms and approved by this very Town Council."

In addition to fiscal measures, ERC urges GfP to advance projects already drafted or initiated in the previous term. These include the plan for the northern façade and the Turó de Santmartí, the urbanization of Plaça Onze de Setembre, the Bertran i Serra park, and the expansion of the Pont del Paco, as well as the accompanying meals project to combat loneliness.
The Republicans remind the GfP government that it "has chained two extended budgets and lost significant subsidies, for example in housing matters, amounting to approximately 2.5 million euros". Despite the conflict, ERC maintains its willingness to continue scrutinizing and offering collaboration for the good of the municipality.
