The Bombers de la Generalitat (Firefighters) continued working this Sunday on the fire that completely affected a building on Carrer Santa Llúcia in Manresa, forcing the relocation of 43 affected residents.

The fire originated on the ground floor of number 27 on Carrer Santa Llúcia and quickly spread, causing the partial collapse of the structure. As a preventive measure, residents of this block and the adjacent buildings, numbers 25 and 29, were evacuated.
In total, 43 people were affected by the displacement. They were initially taken to the Manresa City Council to receive care and food, and subsequently spent the night at the Alberg del Carme hostel.

Technical work to analyze the condition of the adjacent blocks will continue this Monday to ensure the safety of the area.

The Medical Emergency System (SEM) treated a total of 20 people. Of these, 18 were discharged at the scene, while two were transferred to Hospital de Sant Joan de Déu in a less serious condition. The Firefighters activated the Collapsed Structures Group (GREC) to assess structural damage with the municipal architect.
The Manresa City Council activated various municipal services, including Social Services and Civil Protection. The Mayor of Manresa, Marc Aloy Guàrdia, and councilors Anjo Valentí Moll and Mariona Homs Alsina also traveled to the scene.
