The production company Shine Iberia and TVE have announced the surprising departure of Samantha Vallejo-Nágera from the MasterChef jury, immediately replaced by content creator Delicious Martha.

The departure of Samantha Vallejo-Nágera, an emblematic face of the culinary competition since its inception 13 years ago and 38 editions (including anonymous, celebrity, children's, and senior versions), has been described as one of the most significant changes in the show's history. This decision by TVE aims to revitalize the format, which, despite remaining profitable, shows clear signs of fatigue.
Recurring complaints from followers regarding the lack of novelty in the mechanics, the visual identity, and the excessive length of the galas, which often end around 2 AM, have motivated the public broadcaster to initiate this new phase.
The new addition is Marta Sanahuja, known on social media as Delicious Martha, a recognized content creator with a large digital community. She joins Pepe Rodríguez and Jordi Cruz to judge the aspirants of the next anonymous edition, whose recordings are scheduled to begin in the coming weeks.
This move is interpreted as a strategy to win back viewers and decisively penetrate the digital universe, leveraging the popularity of Delicious Martha, whose community exceeds five million followers.
For its part, RTVE has merely communicated that Samantha Vallejo-Nágera will undertake new initiatives in the audiovisual sector, as well as projects related to gastronomy and lifestyle, in addition to continuing with her hospitality businesses.
