The large attendance overwhelmed the Espai Mémora in Manresa, with hundreds of people filling the interior and over a hundred following the service from outside. The ceremony began with music chosen by Dolors Casas herself, performed by her brother, the composer and pianist Carles Casas, accompanied by cellist Sveta Trushka.
The deceased's husband, cultural activist and teacher Joan Morros, led an imaginary dialogue with Dolors Casas, reviewing their 50 years together as a couple. This emotional tribute covered their youth, travels, professional life, the experience of being parents and grandparents, and the love for their grandchildren.
Beyond her mastery as a music teacher and performer of the violin and viola, attendees highlighted her good nature and her permanent laughter.
Following another musical interlude, the focus shifted to Dolors Casas' friends and companions, spanning from her school days to her professional career, including her time as a basketball player in the city. Institutions such as the l'Esclat music school (which she founded with Josep Padró, Onofre Boqué, and Manel Camp), the Conservatori de Música de Manresa, the Obrador Instrumental del Bages, the Rialles group, and the Galliner all paid tribute.
One of the most delicate and moving moments was the address by her mother, Angelina Pujol, who is 101 years old and nearing her 102nd birthday. The ceremony, which was extended to allow attendees to greet and embrace the family, reflected Dolors Casas' own wish for a quiet farewell.
