Although Elon Musk, owner of X, has already ordered the deactivation of the Grok function, the Spanish Minor's Prosecutor's Office is analyzing the generated material. These hyperrealistic images were created using real photographs uploaded to the network, depicting women and potentially minors in sexualized situations.
“"Anyone who uses Grok to create illegal content will suffer the same consequences as if they uploaded illegal content."
The Prosecutor's Office acted after receiving a letter from the Ministry of Youth and Childhood, led by Sira Rego, expressing concern about the impact on minors. The minister forwarded the alert to the State Attorney General's Office, which transferred it to the Specialized Unit for Minors to unify criteria and establish guidelines for action.
According to the Ministry, the generation of sexual violence material against minors could constitute the crime of child pornography, covered by article 189 of the Penal Code (CP), and a crime against moral integrity (article 173 of the CP). The Government referenced a ruling from June 2024 where several people were convicted for manipulating images of girls using AI, indicating sufficient legal grounds for criminal action.
