The organization, led by the Agrupació Cultural del Bages and the Manresa City Council, has announced an ambitious edition aiming to be the best in the Central Regions. Participation has significantly increased, rising from just over 200 people to nearly 300, 190 of whom will be part of the main procession. This effort is supported by a budget of €150,000, double that of the previous year.
“"Whoever does not attend the Manresa Three Kings Parade this holiday season will regret it."
One of the most notable changes is the recovery of the traditional figures of the Three Kings, moving away from the concept of the three astrologers used in the last two editions. The new artistic director, actor Enric Llort, has surrounded the project with “km 0 professionals,” including composer Miquel Coll, who has designed a soundtrack with a “cinematographic design” for the nine floats.
The parade on January 5th will return to its starting point at the Pont Vell. The route will include an inclusive section on Carrer dels Infants, featuring lower sound and calmer action for children with sensory diversity. In the Plaça Major, where the procession will arrive at 8:45 PM, a circular stage will be installed to enhance visibility.
500 kilograms of Fair Trade, gluten-free candy will be distributed. For safety reasons, the candy will not be thrown from the floats but will be handed out by various characters. Prior to the parade, Prince Assuan will arrive on January 2nd at 5 PM at the Casino to collect children's letters. There will be reserved times and spaces for functional diversity at Plaça Major on January 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.
