Priest Estanislau Corrons Graells, who served as rector of the Crist Rei parish in Manresa for 23 years, passed away on Epiphany (January 6) at the age of 92.

Mossèn Estanislau Corrons led the Crist Rei parish from September 1999 until 2022, when he was succeeded by the Congolese priest Martin Kabamba Belangenyi. He was ordained in 1957 and had also served as rector of Artés.
Born on January 29, 1933, Corrons was also a prominent member of the Chapter of Canons of the Collegiate Basilica of Santa Maria de la Seu de Manresa. He retired at 89, having dedicated his life to listening and forgiveness, reflecting the spirit of the Second Vatican Council.
A defining moment in his early life was narrowly surviving the Francoist bombings of December 1938, an attack that tragically killed his grandfather. Artifacts related to this event are preserved in the local museum.
The funeral mass for his eternal rest will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at the Crist Rei church. The wake is scheduled for today, Wednesday, between 4 PM and 9 PM, at the Mémora Funeral Home in Manresa.
