The teaching staff of the Pius Font i Quer Institute in Manresa has called educators from Bages to an open assembly on January 15 to promote a coordinated protest action.

The assembly will take place on Thursday, January 15 at 6:00 PM at the center's facilities, aiming to "create a space for coordination between centers and for teachers," according to institute sources. This action stems from the need to express widespread discontent with the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

We want to build a strong response that the Generalitat cannot ignore.

Following a previous meeting of Pius Font i Quer teachers, immediate actions have already been agreed upon. After the Christmas holidays, the staff will resume the "yellow Wednesdays" ("dimecres grocs"), wearing yellow shirts on the third day of the week as a visible and unified symbol of discontent.
Furthermore, the center will place banners on the facade with the mobilization slogans. The promoters of the initiative have called on other educational centers in the Bages county to organize their own assemblies to strengthen the fight for labor rights and the defense of public education from the grassroots level.
