The Fundació Sant Andreu Salut marks World Palliative Care Day by reaffirming its commitment to people with advanced illnesses and their families, with over 30 years of experience in Manresa and Bages.

On World Palliative Care Day, the Fundació Sant Andreu Salut highlights its over 30-year trajectory in caring for people with advanced illnesses and their families. This commitment is demonstrated through comprehensive care that spans different environments, connecting hospital, home, and community care.
The Palliative Care Unit at Hospital Sant Andreu has extensive experience, offering specialized care for over three decades. Its professionals support individuals and families during times of great vulnerability, prioritizing well-being, dignity, and respect.
This expertise extends beyond the hospital. For over 10 years, the foundation has led the PADES del Bages, in collaboration with the Institut Català de la Salut and local social services. This team provides comprehensive home-based care, bringing services closer to people's environments and ensuring continuity of support.
The future Espai Alba will represent a new phase in palliative care, end-of-life support, and bereavement. This project, to be presented soon, proposes a comprehensive care space with an open approach to the community, where individuals and their families are central, and where "the bed is not the focus".
On this day, the Fundació Sant Andreu Salut recognizes the work of its teams and reaffirms its dedication to advancing compassionate, respectful, and person-centered care.
