Funeral for Joan Badia Camprubí, beloved chef of Masia El Casot, after fatal accident

The funeral for Joan Badia Camprubí, the respected 60-year-old chef from Masia El Casot de Marganell, will take place this Thursday at 5 PM at the Parròquia del Borràs in Castellbell i el Vilar.

Badia, a resident of Castellbell, died due to severe injuries sustained Monday evening after being run over while crossing a zebra crossing on Joaquim Borràs street, near the Town Hall.
The accident occurred while the victim was accompanied by a 4-year-old minor, who was fortunately unharmed. Due to the impact, Badia was urgently transferred by SEM helicopter to the Parc Taulí Hospital in Sabadell.
Despite the rapid response of emergency services, the injuries proved fatal. Joan Badia was a well-known and appreciated figure in the Bages region for his long career in the kitchen of the popular restaurant Masia El Casot, located in Marganell.
