Nearly 150 participants kicked off the Nordic walking series this Thursday in Sant Fruitós de Bages, an initiative that will tour various municipalities in the region and surrounding areas.

The inaugural event, held in Sant Fruitós de Bages, included participants from Castellbisbal, Castelldefels, and Mediona, in addition to local residents. After a welcome from the mayor, Joan Carles Batanés, and a warm-up session, attendees embarked on a walk through the Llobregat River area to Sant Benet de Bages, where they took a tour.
The return to the town center followed a scenic path to the Nexe Espai de Cultura, the venue for a fellowship lunch that concluded the day. This free and open-to-all walking series will continue with three more events.
The next scheduled dates are November 16th in Mediona, January 19th in Castelldefels, and February 17th in Castellbisbal. Registrations for each outing will open two weeks prior to the respective date via the municipal mobile app.
