The Súria City Council, through the Social Rights area, has opened the grant application period for home renovations aimed at improving accessibility and safety for vulnerable groups until Friday, January 16.

The initiative, driven by the Diputació de Barcelona (Barcelona Provincial Council), aims to guarantee minimum habitability conditions and promote personal autonomy within the home. These subsidies seek to address situations of vulnerability that complicate the daily lives of the elderly and those with special needs.
Two main groups are eligible for the aid: individuals aged 65 and over registered in Súria for a minimum of one year, and individuals under 65 who have special needs related to physical or psychological capacity to carry out daily activities at home.

The program aims to reach elderly people and other groups who need to adapt their homes to live safely and with dignity.

Eligible actions include repairs, minor non-structural works, and the installation of technical aids to eliminate architectural barriers, such as improvements in bathrooms and kitchens or adaptations to facilitate mobility. The call is open to both owned and rented housing.
The grants will be awarded through a competitive process, in accordance with the regulatory bases approved by the Local Government Board on November 20. Detailed information and the regulatory bases can be consulted via this link to the regulatory bases.
