The historic region of Bearn, from Jurançon, will be this year's international highlight, showcasing its wines, farm products, and live cooking. This initiative aims to introduce the public to the wines, gastronomy, producers, chefs, and Pyrenean landscapes of the Bearn region.
The event will bring together a total of 32 wine producers and distributors and sparkling wines from the province of Tarragona, as well as 12 restaurant establishments from Cambrils. Bearn's presence will complement the offering with culinary specialties to pair with the wines.
As a novelty, visitors can purchase consumption tickets ('glups' and 'nyams') digitally through the website www.firadelvicambrils.com, via digital totems, or at the on-site sales booths, streamlining the experience and reducing queues.
The festival will maintain its usual spaces such as the Aula del Vi (Wine Classroom), the Mercat Artesanal (Artisan Market), and the Passeig de l'Art (Art Walk), and will strengthen its connection with local products through the Espai BOCA, dedicated to the primary sector, and the exhibition «Retrats de Vi» (Portraits of Wine) by the Universitat Rovira i Virgili.
The collaboration with Bearn, driven by the Jurançon Town Hall and the Cambrils Municipal Tourism Board, aims to establish a lasting cooperation bridge between both destinations, with Cambrils being the guest in Jurançon in June 2027.
In addition to the main program, the festival will offer two nautical experiences aboard the catamaran Blue Diamond: an afternoon 'tardeo' with DO Terra Alta wines and Iberian ham on Saturday, October 10th, and a solidarity cruise with underwater wines and music on Sunday, October 11th.
The DO Terra Alta, along with other Catalan denominations such as DOQ Priorat and DO Cava, will have a prominent presence, engaging in dialogue with the wines of Bearn and offering an extensive enological journey.
The Aula del Vi will host guided tastings and presentations by professionals and projects linked to the sector, including sessions from wineries such as Christian Francès, Casa Mariol, and Torelló, with the support of the Institut Català de la Vinya i el Vi (INCAVI).
The Mercat Artesanal and the Passeig de l'Art will complete the offering, while the Espai BOCA will highlight the local primary sector with olive oil tastings from the Cooperativa Agrícola de Cambrils and initiatives featuring carob.
The program includes children's workshops on vineyards and land, a 'casteller' performance by Xiquets de Cambrils and Castellers d’Altafulla, and ten musical performances to liven up the days.
