The Cambrils City Council has restarted the elevator at the Mare de Déu del Camí Hermitage, which had been inoperative for a year due to technical issues and regulatory compliance needs.

The municipal action involved an investment of 6,494 euros, VAT included, dedicated to tuning up the installation and incorporating it into the maintenance contract for municipal elevators.

"The hermitage is a space much loved by the people of Cambrils and must be accessible to everyone."

Oliver Klein · Mayor of Cambrils
This repair, which improves accessibility for the elderly and those with reduced mobility, comes just in time for the Christmas concert by the Coral Verge del Camí and the Coral Jove, scheduled for Sunday, December 21.
The management of the elevator falls under the agreement signed last October between the council and the Parish of Santa Maria, through which the City Council assumes the maintenance of the space for 15 years.
