The Programes Educatius Open Europe association, based at the Espai Boule in Reus, has completed the development of new digital tools to facilitate foreign language learning for children with learning difficulties.

The initiative is part of the European Erasmus+ FOCUS project, an international collaboration involving entities from Spain, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, and Lithuania. The main objective is to provide primary school teachers with resources based on Digital Game-Based Learning, a methodology that uses video games as a pedagogical tool.
The most notable result is FOCUS 4 Playing, a series of six video games designed for students aged 6 to 12 with specific needs, such as dyslexia or attention disorders. These games work on cognitive skills like memory and problem-solving, while reinforcing vocabulary and reading in foreign languages.
In addition to the games, the consortium has created an online training platform for education professionals. This space offers guidance on the use of artificial intelligence in teaching materials, inclusion strategies in the classroom, and guidelines for collaborating with families.
After validating the results at international meetings in Perugia and Patras, the partners have established a sustainability plan. This strategy ensures that both the video games and the training materials remain accessible for free to European schools through the project's official website.
