The musical performance Bachbershop, presented by Metropolitan Union, offers a dialogue between the worlds of Baroque and Barbershop, a style of four-part vocal music without instruments. The production explores the connections between the music of J. S. Bach and modern musical genres.
The work imagines a hypothetical scenario where Bach's music, such as his famous Bourrée in E minor, is transformed into heavy metal pieces, blurring the lines between eras and styles to demonstrate the closeness between Baroque and contemporary music.
With four voices, Metropolitan Union revisits well-known pieces with surprising arrangements, delivering a concert full of music, contrasts, and humor. The show promises an unusual encounter between Bach and modern music.
The Barbershop music quartet Metropolitan Union consists of Daniel Morales (tenor), Martí Doñate (lead), German de la Riva (bass), and Joan Mas (baritone).
The concert will take place on Sunday, October 4th, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, at the Cripta de l'Ermita in Cambrils. Tickets are priced at €10, with a reduced rate of €7 for members of the Coral Verge del Camí. Tickets are available at [www.codetickets.com](https://entradas.codetickets.com/).
