The Cal Gallisà restaurant in Reus, a key meeting point in the Plaça del Mercadal, will celebrate its closure next Saturday, January 10, with a special pintxo party.

The farewell event, called the “big pintxo party,” will start at 7 PM at Cal Gallisà. This celebration will mark the end of nearly six years of the establishment's history as a restaurant and popular vermouth spot.
The restaurant, managed by Sergi Llambrich, opened its doors in March 2020, just before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the initial difficulties, it became one of the key locations for gastronomy in the central Plaça del Mercadal for over five years.
Before becoming a restaurant, the premises had a long history as an esparto grass shop for about a century. After remaining closed for ten years, it was renovated to house Cal Gallisà. The future of the space is already defined, as a new vermouth bar will be established there.
