The Grup Oliva Motor Cambrils-Costa Daurada Half Marathon will hold its most crowded edition next Sunday, March 1, dedicating proceeds to the Rosa Maria Vivar Foundation for Alzheimer's research.

The 21st edition of the race has consolidated itself as a key event in the athletic calendar, already surpassing 2,500 registered athletes and moving towards the symbolic goal of 3,000 participants. This sustained growth is supported by the Cambrils City Council and the continued trust of the main sponsor, Grup Oliva Motor, which has accompanied the event for more than 10 years.
One of the major novelties this year is the strong charitable nature of the event. For every registered athlete, 1 euro will be donated to the Rosa Maria Vivar Foundation, with an expected contribution of 3,000 euros, to support Alzheimer's research. The foundation's president, Margarita Oliva, thanked the city of Cambrils for its commitment to this disease.

"Cambrils is already the running capital of the Costa Daurada."

Gemma Balanyà · Cambrils Sports Councillor
The event highlights a positive evolution in the profile of its runners. Female participation has reached a historic record of 35%. Furthermore, 35% of participants are under 34 years old, demonstrating an increasingly young and diverse race. 60% of the athletes come from the regions of Tarragona, reinforcing the tourist impact of the event on the Costa Daurada.
The Mayor of Cambrils, Oliver Klein, highlighted the trajectory of the race, the solvency of the organization, and the attractive route. Meanwhile, the director of Sports Events, Juanan Fernández, pointed out that the Cambrils Half Marathon is already “the first in the province” and aims to be among the top 4 races in Catalonia, after Barcelona, Granollers, and Terrassa.
