The Cambrils City Council marked International Women's Day this March 8th with an institutional event focused on the role of education in building a more egalitarian society.

Mayor Oliver Klein opened the ceremony by emphasizing the need for institutional commitment to gender equality. Local councilors read a joint manifesto supported by the Generalitat de Catalunya and municipal associations, showing political consensus on women's rights.
Students from local institutes, including INS Ramon Berenguer IV and INS Cambrils, took center stage. They presented classroom projects and artistic performances aimed at denouncing sexist violence and challenging patriarchal social structures.

"It is essential to continue promoting co-education and social awareness to move towards a fairer society free from violence."
