Cambrils' cultural season, extending until January 2027, will feature over a hundred activities across disciplines such as theater, music, dance, exhibitions, cinema, literature, and outreach. The program was presented by the Councilor for Culture, Carlos Caballero, alongside directors of cultural entities.
Carlos Caballero emphasized that the agenda is "varied, balanced, and attractive," utilizing the municipality's cultural venues and providing a platform for local talent. A key highlight of the season is the celebration of Teca Teatre's 60th anniversary, a milestone in Cambrils' cultural heritage.
The program, available in the magazine Cambrils Cultura and online, includes offerings from the Department of Culture, the Museum of History of Cambrils, the Josep Salceda i Castells Library, and the Municipal Archive, as well as contributions from local cultural entities and associations.
Established events include the Concerts a la Cripta, the 19th Mar de Jazz Showcase, the Accents Festival, the Diumenges al Teatre cycle, Escena Cambrils, commemoration events for the Siege of Cambrils, and Open Workshops. The Cinema Rambla de l’Art is also expanding its offerings with artist documentaries.
The season aims to foster connections between disciplines, with activities linked to the Biennial of Contemporary Gastronomic Art. Furthermore, until October 2nd, participation in the Vila de Cambrils Awards across various categories remains open.
The Museum of History of Cambrils and the University Extension Classroom have organized a series of talks, while the Autumn Historical Memory Cycle will dedicate its 20th edition to deportees of Nazi camps, focusing on individuals connected to Cambrils.
The Josep Salceda i Castells Library will host stage performances, special activities, and reading clubs. A notable event is a theatrical performance dedicated to Antoni Gaudí, accompanied by an exhibition exploring his relationship with nature.
The season also includes participation in the Tardor en Dansa (Autumn in Dance) program, promoted by the Generalitat de Catalunya, featuring contemporary dance performances at the Plaça del Pòsit.
The season kicked off with the inauguration of the artistic installation “Sota el pont, teoria i pràctica d’arquitectura moderna” by Josepe Gil at the Cultural Center, as part of the Art al Hall project. The artist also presented the exhibition “Geografies i Històries” at the Sala Àmbits.
The Cinema Rambla de l’Art began its season with a screening from the Arena di Verona Opera Festival, and Teca Teatre launched the podcast Om & Pou.
The weekend program features the Festival Partides, blending contemporary creation with the rural landscape of Cambrils, offering performances, installations, and sound interventions.
