Funecamp, initially promoted by the town councils of Reus, Salou, Vila-seca, and Constantí, is the first metropolitan public funeral project in Camp de Tarragona and a pioneer in Catalonia and Spain. With the adhesion of Castellvell del Camp and the formalization of Alcover (initiated in September 2025), the society will count six partner municipalities.

This supramunicipal structure allows for optimizing resources and generating economies of scale, facilitating homogeneous territorial coverage with uniform quality standards.

This incorporation will allow Castellvell del Camp to have comprehensive funeral services 365 days a year with a single point of contact. Furthermore, Funecamp will fully manage the municipality's wake room, which was previously administered directly by the Town Council, simplifying procedures for families.
