The Government of Catalonia has announced a 10 million euro investment for the improvement and rehabilitation of 25 bus stations across the Catalan territory during 2026, with several projects already initiated.

The Department of Territory, Housing and Ecological Transition has specified that ten of these facilities are already undergoing renovation, and work is expected to begin on an additional ten stations during the spring. This initiative aims to boost public transport and sustainable mobility in Catalonia.

"The Government considers public transport one of its main areas of action to facilitate citizen mobility; a mobility that is also sustainable."

In June, work is expected to commence at the Fabra i Puig station in Barcelona. In Penedès, 800,000 euros will be allocated, with actions already underway in Vilafranca del Penedès and planned for June in Vilanova i la Geltrú.
