More than 21,000 agricultural professionals are casting their votes this Friday in the 2026 Agricultural Elections to choose their representatives for the next five years.

In the Baix Camp region, seven polling stations were established in towns including Reus, Cambrils, and La Selva del Camp. Voters have been arriving steadily throughout the morning at the Department of Agriculture offices.
Water management remains the most critical issue for farmers in the Tarragona area. Many are calling for definitive solutions and the removal of administrative barriers to irrigation projects, such as the Reus EDAR water treatment plant.

"Now that we do have water, we hope there are no administrative obstacles that would be out of place, so that we can irrigate."
