The Court of Tarragona has been unable to locate former Reus mayor, Carles Pellicer, to testify as a witness in the Innova case trial, a development that has caused surprise.

The Court of Tarragona reported this Thursday that it has been impossible to locate the former mayor of Reus, Carles Pellicer, to testify as a witness in the ongoing trial of the Innova case. Pellicer was summoned to appear at midday, but the presiding judge stated they could not establish contact with him.
The judge explained that the only provided contact detail was an email address, through which attempts to reach him were unsuccessful. "We do not know if he somehow became aware of his summons or if he received the email, but the expectation of his appearance is very low," the magistrate added.
The lawyer for one of the accused, David Rocamora, representing Carles Manté, expressed surprise and inquired with the Reus City Council's representation if they had contact with Pellicer, receiving a negative response. Ultimately, the lawyer who had proposed Pellicer as a witness, associated with former mayor Lluís Miquel Pérez, withdrew the request for his testimony.
During Thursday's session, other witnesses connected to construction and consultancy firms also provided testimony, answering questions primarily concerning hiring practices and their relationships with some of the defendants in the case.
