The Spanish Ministry of Health has confirmed that at least one candidate was caught using Artificial Intelligence glasses during the MIR 2026 medical residency exam held this March.

The candidate, based in Santiago de Compostela, was disqualified after invigilators discovered the hidden technology. This event has cast a shadow over the results, including the record-breaking score of Bianca Ciobanu, a graduate from the Rovira i Virgili University in Reus.

"All I have done is study with discipline, applying a structured strategy and preparing with technical rigor."
