Musician Juantxo Skalari gathered nearly 400 people this Friday at the Lo Submarino venue in Reus to perform his latest studio album live for the first time.

The performance marked the beginning of the 2026 edition of the Les Perles de l'Accents festival. The singer, originally from Navarre but now living in Reus, showcased songs from El tiempo perdido – Radical Park E2 during an evening that blended ska energy with social activism.
On stage, Skalari was joined by saxophonist Pere Miró and vocalist Memi Sillah. The new album explores black music influences while staying true to the ska roots that have defined the artist's international career for nearly thirty years.
The festival continues this Sunday at the Teatre Bartrina. Starting at 7:00 PM, Mallorcan artist Maika Makovski will present her album Bunker Rococó, a project produced in Bristol featuring a sophisticated mix of synthesizers and string arrangements.
