The Mossos d'Esquadra have dismantled a significant marijuana cultivation site in a wooded area of Baix Camp, specifically in La Febró, arresting three men as alleged perpetrators of drug trafficking.

The operation, carried out by the Urban Crime Group (GDU), resulted in the arrest of three men aged 18, 32, and 34, who are also accused of belonging to a criminal group. Officers accessed the plantation via a trail and discovered a complex illegal settlement.
On site, over 3,982 marijuana plants, each exceeding one meter in height, were found distributed across thirty greenhouses constructed with reeds and plastic. The infrastructure included an irrigation system of plastic pipes connected to an impermeable ground-level pond.
In addition to the plants and greenhouses, the Mossos discovered a camp with several tents, food supplies, and phytosanitary products for cultivation. The detainees attempted to flee upon discovery but were intercepted by officers.
The operation began early Wednesday morning after confirming the presence of a marijuana plantation in a difficult-to-access wooded area. The police force proceeded to dismantle the settlement and all installed infrastructure.
The investigation remains open to locate potential new or former plantations in the area. The three arrested men are expected to be brought before the duty investigating court in Reus within the next few hours.
