The Mont-roig del Camp Council has launched a project to rebuild the Miami Platja Tower, which was demolished after being severely damaged by a storm in March 2023.

The new 184,000-euro project features a metallic structure on a 9-meter cantilevered platform. This design aims to symbolize coastal erosion and the impact of climate change on the local shoreline.
Expected to be completed by late 2027, the project marks the 75th anniversary of Miami Platja. The tower is inspired by the historic Torre dels Penyals, originally built in 1574.
