Around 300 people mobilized this Sunday, March 22, in Montbrió del Camp to voice their opposition to a wind farm project planned between this town and Riudecanyes.

The event, organized by the Aturem els Molins platform, featured eight simultaneous marches starting from neighboring towns such as Cambrils and Riudoms. The protesters gathered at Montbrió's main square to defend the Baix Camp region's agricultural model.

"We want an energy transition that is fair, at the service of people, and that does not sacrifice food sovereignty."

Pau Arasa · Spokesperson for Aturem els Molins
The project involves six wind turbines. The Territorial Urban Planning Commission of Camp de Tarragona has already issued an unfavorable report due to the impact on farmland. Local authorities and environmental groups like GEPEC-EdC have supported the protest.
