This decision, which still requires the completion of administrative procedures, places the Cambrils-based company ahead of the Col·lectiu de Crítics, the entity that has been at the forefront of the Truffaut project since its inception. The difference in the final score was only 2.16 points, according to the contracting board's minutes.
In the evaluation of aspects related to programming, language promotion, and collaboration with other cultural facilities, the Col·lectiu de Crítics de Cinema de Girona obtained a higher score. However, the economic offer presented by Rambla de l'Art-Cambrils AIE was decisive in tipping the balance in its favor, as reported by ACN.
Since April 19, when the previous contract ended, the Col·lectiu de Crítics has continued to operate the cinema temporarily to prevent the facility's closure. The company Rambla de l'Art already has experience in cinema management, as it is responsible for the cinema in Cambrils and the programming of the Casino de Begur.
