The Reus City Council has resolved the latest call for the Reus Educating City grant, allocating 40,055 euros to 20 projects to be developed during the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 academic years.

The awarded funds are distributed among three major groups of educational community agents. Specifically, 18,360 euros are allocated to seven projects presented by educational centers, 9,695 euros for seven initiatives by non-profit entities, and 12,000 euros for six projects promoted by family associations.

These subsidies aim to contribute to the financing of activities and projects that promote the principles of the educating city and the 'Education 360. Full-time Education' model.

The aid line, effective since the 2021-2022 academic year, primarily seeks the creation of new educational opportunities or the improvement of the quality of existing ones. This includes the use of new evaluation systems, training for monitors, and coordination of activities in both academic and non-academic settings.
Another fundamental focus is the promotion of equity, improving access to information for families and facilitating economic accessibility for groups at risk of social exclusion. The incorporation of a gender perspective and methodological adaptations to guarantee the participation of people with special educational needs are also promoted.
