The auditor of the Reus City Council has confirmed during the first session of the Innova case trial that architect Jorge Batesteza received duplicate payments for the same work from both Innova and the UTE Euroconsult.

The municipal auditor of Reus has ratified that architect Jorge Batesteza received payments from both Innova and the UTE Euroconsult for carrying out the same tasks. According to his statement, Batesteza appeared in the minutes as an advisor to the municipal holding and, at the same time, as a project manager for the UTE.
In the same judicial session, held this Tuesday, the auditor also pointed out that the hiring of Carles Manté, former director of CatSalut, through the company CCM Estrategies, was not carried out following the established legal parameters. The invoices issued for this concept amounted to 720,120.82 euros, most of which, according to the testimony, lacked the necessary reports to prove the work done.
The trial has been temporarily suspended due to the indisposition of one of the tribunal members.
