The team led by coach Jordi Garcia repeated their success against the French side, whom they had already beaten 1-2 fifteen days prior. The match, played at the Reus 'Bombonera', started with a strong local attack, allowing Guillem Jansà to open the scoring in the 5th minute, immediately followed by Carles Casas, making it 2-0.
Reus's superiority was evident throughout the first half. Jansà scored his second goal from a penalty in the 10th minute (3-0). Although Maxi Oruste missed another penalty shortly after, the Argentine quickly recovered to score the 4-0. Saint-Omer narrowed the gap with a goal from Roc Llisa (4-1), but Diego Rojas closed the first half scoring with a powerful shot (5-1).
The victory allows the red-and-blacks to maintain fourth position in Group A, six points ahead of Igualada.
In the second half, Jordi Garcia rested starting goalkeeper Càndid Ballart, bringing in Nil Vinya, who saved a direct free hit. Although the game became slightly tougher, Saint-Omer captain Fabien Barengo scored to make it 5-2. The local response was immediate with the final goal from Marc Julià, establishing the definitive 6-2 score.
This triumph solidifies Reus Deportiu Brasilia's qualifying position. Their next Champions League opponent will be Igualada. Before that, however, Jordi Garcia's men will face Rivas in the OK Liga this Sunday, starting a demanding schedule that includes clashes against Barça at the Palau Blaugrana (February 14) and Calafell (February 21).
