Reus Deportiu defeated Rivas 5-3 this Sunday afternoon at the Palau d'Esports, overcoming two deficits to maintain their fifth place standing in the OK Liga table.

The match, played on Sunday afternoon, started with the visiting team dominating. Rivas took the lead twice thanks to goals from Sergio Martín (0-1) in the 13th minute and Iñigo Artacho (1-2) in the 18th minute. Although Guillem Jansà missed a penalty, Diego Rojas managed the provisional equalizer (1-1) before halftime.
The second half saw a siege by the team coached by Jordi Garcia, who sought the equalizer unsuccessfully until the 40th minute. It was then that Maxi Oruste, with a powerful low shot, beat goalkeeper Marc Castañer to make it 2-2.

The expulsion of two Rivas players with blue cards was the turning point that allowed Reus Deportiu to take advantage of four minutes of numerical superiority.

The key moment arrived in the 43rd minute, when the referee sanctioned Adrián Pos and, subsequently, Javier Verdú with blue cards for protesting. Reus Deportiu capitalized on the four-minute 'power play' with quick goals from captain Jordi Salvat (3-2) and another from Maxi Oruste (4-2).
Although Pos narrowed the gap (4-3) with just over a minute remaining, Rojas reassured the red-and-black fans with the fifth and definitive goal (5-3). With this victory, Reus Deportiu Brasilia remains firm in fifth position in the OK Liga, accumulating a total of 31 points.
