The Brotherhood of Sant Isidre i Santa Llúcia, known as the Farmers' Brotherhood of Reus, celebrated 699 years of documented history this March 19, 2026.

The celebration is based on a notary deed from 1327, the oldest record found to date, which mentions a donation to the entity. Although this document is nearly seven centuries old, historians believe the brotherhood's roots in Reus go back even further, deeply tied to the local agricultural community.
The organization is now focusing on its 700th anniversary in 2027. A dedicated commission will be established to design a program of events aimed at highlighting the brotherhood's historical continuity and its significance within the cultural heritage of the city.
Looking ahead to 2029, the group will also join the 125th anniversary of the coronation of Our Lady of Misericòrdia. The brotherhood plans to feature traditional elements, such as their ceremonial float, in what is expected to be a major city-wide celebration for all residents of Reus.
