The city of Reus is organizing a new edition of the Seniors Program 2026, offering 19 diverse activities for the elderly community and the general public, from May 31 to June 10.

This ten-day initiative primarily aims to promote active and healthy aging, as well as create spaces for connection, participation, and well-being for older people. The program includes a wide variety of proposals, from walks and workshops to cultural outings, talks, dialogue spaces, and intergenerational and intercultural activities.
The organization of the program has involved the collaboration of various municipal services and entities dedicated to the elderly, in addition to the 'Festivities, Culture and Sports' commission of the Municipal Council for the Elderly of Reus.
The program will kick off on Sunday, May 31, with the 'Marquee Party +60' at La Palma, a festive event with live music aimed at people over 60. This edition will also have a charitable component, as attendees will be asked to donate food or hygiene products for the El Roser Social Center.
Among the most notable events will be a tribute to people born in 1926, scheduled for Wednesday, June 3, at the Llotja of the Reus Chamber of Commerce. This recognition aims to highlight the trajectory of a generation that has experienced significant social and historical changes.
The program will conclude on Wednesday, June 10, with the 'Exhibition of Senior Activities' at the Bartrina Theater, a space where various initiatives and activities carried out throughout the year with the active participation of the city's elderly will be presented.
