Reus marks World Poetry Day with a month of literary events

The city of Reus is celebrating World Poetry Day with a main event on March 20 at the Xavier Amorós Central Library, highlighting the region's cultural and linguistic diversity.

The celebration includes a tribute to the centenary of Blai Bonet and a performance by the Cor Acords de Reus. Other highlights feature Arabic-Catalan readings on March 17 and a tribute to Federico García Lorca on March 19 with the URV Choir.
On March 21, the Gregal Civic Center will host a poetic-musical dialogue, followed by a session on Chilean literature on March 24. Additionally, students from Salvador Vilaseca Institute will participate in a 'Poetry by Phone' project, delivering verses to residents upon request.
